Did you notice that the Calder talk died when he started getting benched?
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
Thanks for the Latin lesson. I agree, he’s more stable looking for safe outlet passes. I miss the end to end rushes from earlier this year. You know, before JM sat him down to re-train him.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
With the schedule, good move to make sure Carey doesn’t get overworked with B2B starts, especially involving travel. Besides, playing Auld is a good way to keep the team on their toes.
Dude: he’s no longer consting us, you know, games by turning the puck over and otherwise making hot-dog plays at the wromg time (and the wrong time being anytime we’re not up by four goals with more than three minutes left on the clock.
Roszival’s salary for next year is about $1 million less than his cap hit, so they will be able to save money while still getting the cap floor. That had pretty big impact on the deal.
The kind of trade we might see with Gomez in a few years to a team that can barely afford the salary cap floor.
It’s somewhat amusing that the ESPN midseason report makes absolutely no mention of the primary reason that the Habs are in as good a spot as they are.
So no PK Subban for the Skills Competition, I mean hey, why would you want to invite a smooth-skating, offensively dynamic rookie to the ASG, I mean what are they trying to do there, show off? Nah, too disrespectful…
I took a bit of a hiatus from this over the month of December what
with travel, being a new dad, and the bustle of the holidays. That
said, the “debut roster” series continues tonight, looking at the
Rangers. Again, this roster is comprised exclusively of current NHLers
who made their league debut in a Rangers’ uniform. Check it out:
Callahan-Savard-Kovalev
Dubinsky-Stepan-Prucha
Malhotra-Weight-Anisimov

Dawes
Staal-Girardi
Del Zotto-Gilroy

cost: $44.94million, or $14.46million under the salary cap. The
Rangers have certainly produced their share of centres over the years.
Whoa there little guy, haven’t seen him display his skills in weeks? Did the cable company cut your service recently? PK has been playing quite well in the past few games, exhibiting more solid defence, getting that ridiculaous windup on his shot under control, using his head before taking those long, flashy, one man attacks into the O zone.
Something is wrong with this picture. Wolski isn’t exactly a hot-shot, in fact he’s kind of the West’s version of AK46.
Having said that, why would Phoenix do this deal knowing that Sather is over a barrel with Rozsival’s contract? Not to mention that Phoenix already has three veteran Dmen. And they traded their first round pick (Mueller) to get Wolski just last year. Why give up the 8 years in age? There has to be another piece to the puzzle here.
Something tells me that Ed Jovanovski isn’t coming back to the Coyotes once his contract is up this year.
To assume that the only reasonable assumption regarding PK’s omission is a message from the league to tone it down just doesn’t even pass the most basic of logic tests. The rookies defencemen, for various reasons, all deserved to be there ahead of him. They’ve made far fewer mistakes to cost their teams the game.
It’s part of growing up. You screw up, you get punished, you get angry at your parents andn years later you realize they were right all along.
I agree that PK should be in the Rookie Skills competition. Its obvious he has superior skills to other rooks. Just saw a funny video of when Cory Clouston told Karlson that he was going to the All Star game, and he says. “how”. Haha. He is not the only one.
Even though Auld has a good record against NY, i am always nervous of this guy. Ever since he was the goaltender for the Canucks i was nervous. Always due for one softie a game. Hopefully that will be the only one he lets in.
That’s what I’m talking about, the skills competition — my understanding is that PK was not selected for the rookie skills competition (I’m not talking about the all-star game itself). Boone himself says, “No P.K. at Rookie Skills contest?”
I agree with you otherwise that PK will get his shot, in time, at the all-star game.
Wolski will be getting tons of ice tonight and probably will play on a big line and the PP. He’ll be lights out for a month or so before falling back down to earth.
Biron played last game so I expect we will get King Henrik tonight. Puts Auld in a tight spot having to play on the road against the best goalie in the East
Keep an eye on Avery. He’ll be going after Subban to try and rattle the kid.
My gut tells me we need a reverse Mike Boone jinx.
3 rookie defencemen made the team. Shattenkirk and Fowler were no brainers, both are having far superior seasons to PK. Theo nly questionable one is the goaless Ekman-Larson, who’s Phoenix’s only representative (and thus his reason for being there).
It’d be fun to watch PK in the skills competitition but relax, he’ll have plenty of chances to play in them in the future.
Best Eminen/Rihanna/Maple Leaf parody in a long time.
If you’re not happy with some of the All-Star/All/Rookie team selections, look no further than the NHL’s policy of having a player from each team regardless of ability or season long performance.
They cheated this year and used the rookie format to help fill out the 30 team requirement. That’s why you have such stupid selections from Phoenix, the Islanders and Florida. Once Price was selected, it killed Subban’s chances. They were the only two Habs in the running.
it’ll be an interesting game to watch this evening. rangers young guns up against the habs young guns. lots of mistakes and bravado on display. hopefully, the Canadiens vets can keep their rookies in check. it will be fun to watch
Anyone find the feed boring? The camera is too far and the crowd is either muted or all dead. I hear a little bit of a boo when Gomez has the puck though.
Isn’t the NHL trying to cut down on exactly what Dubinsky just did to Weber? No attempt to play the puck on that icing, just went straight for a hit from behind.
i love how you make your statements with such emphasis…like you really think you know the game…fact of the matter is if you knew anything about the game you’d be in it…
The penalty was totally justified. And Eller just hasn’t been great when he is on the ice. A 2-1 game late in the third isn’t a good time to give a young guy chances.
Another round of brilliant coaching and lesson learning for the kids.
We are going to move you from benched center to first line wing, and if you don’t produce like a champion and play to perfection in the first five shifts, its benchville for you. The penalty was weak call, you try to skate around someone and he falls to the ice. It does not matter that there was no resulting goal, there just are no second chances fron this coaching staff. Eller made a great backcheck to interrupt a drop pass in the second period, something that no one on this team could do on Saturday.
It reminds me of game three against Philly. O’Byrne comes in after two weeks off, when the team has played like crap for two games. He has a couple of bad shifts, and gets benched for the rest of the game.
This coach has to go. Its the same coaching mentality repeating ad nauseum, which is resulting in us blowing up our prospects and trading them somewhere else to succeed. How many more players are we going to chew through here only to see them instantly become first liners or top paring defensemen.
Next time I pick a current Hab favourite, it is going to be someone old. Have a great time out west Eller.
The Rangers are a better team than we give them credit for. They are getting younger and giving those young players ice time and opportunities to get better. They will be better next year.
We need to match their plan and stop thinking we are going to win anything this year and start building next years team.
I get the impression sometimes that Spacek and Hamrlik draw straws to see who’ll turn in a good game on any given night. I like them both even though they sometimes make me shudder.
Lewiston, eh? Right on. I’m from Bangor, but I live in Montreal now (freshman at McGill). It’s a shame the Black Bears couldn’t have taken two Ws out of the tourney in Florida, but I’m sure it was still fun, right?
I actually talked with Whitehead before a practice and Mark Anthoine my homeboy from Lewiston…
McGill is an excellent school…plus you are in Montreal which is awesome…did not make the pilgrimage to the Bell Center this year because I have been too busy coaching my son’s hockey team…we travel all over being a southern team…
Probably because all of the sudden they stopped playing. Bad passing, terrible shots, no “oompf”. It marred an otherwise amazing playoff run. I mean a 7 game hard fought series? Sure! However they basically bent over and took it save for one game.
Disagree. Habs bent over and took it for games 1,2, but games 4,5 were tight. Game 4 was turned on gorges breaking his boot guard and giroux scoring a goalscorers’ goal.
I didn’t love the way we went out either but I don’t think we bent over in games 4 and 5. Philly was/is a good team and no shame in losing to them.
I don’t mind cuz pouliot just score a goal That’s fine, I know they’re doing pretty well But I know sometimes it gets bright in the light Better get right in line with the kids, they’re alright The kids are alright
Boy when they put in a effort like that you have to proud of this team. That was a complete team win. Whats up with the refs they put thier whistles away and I have to say wow great job guys. The Ranger are a tough team they play a real grinding game. GO Habs GO what a great win. I hope they got something in the tank for the Pens and I hope Crosby is not playing.
Mr. Boone may have created a new statistic, the BPM or Boone Plus Minus.A positive comment about a specific player in his liveblog earns the player a +1 and a negative comment gets them a -1.
Pouliot and Auld led everyone with +3.Benny was our best forward and Auld player a strong game.So no surprises there.
MaxPac, Darche, Moen, Spatch and Gionta each had +2 ratings.
Halpern got a late nod.He was the only +1 player tonight.
Gomez was the only neutral BPM player with offsetting one plus with one minus.
AK, Pleks and the Wiz had -1 scores.AK was invisible early and played a erratic game late.I thought Pleks was better than his minus one indicates and the Wiz was quiet.
PK was a -2;Weber a -3; and Eller a -4.Not a good showing from the rookies this evening.
Harmlik, Gill, Pyatt and DD had no positive or negative comments.A good defensive D man is like a good offensive lineman in football, you never hear about them when they are playing well.Pyatt hardly player.I thought DD did enough to make the score sheet. But that’s why they play the game.
Who’s leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
Whew. Good game by Auld, Darche and the D. I spent much of the game trying to watch PK. In my view he is playing better overall since his games in the pressbox. He’s a rookie and I expected to see him make rookie mistakes. He did a few times; overcommiting on some plays, taking that big windup when he broke his stick near the end, caught out of position behind the net a few times, but each time he pretty well scrambled and made up for the error. He’s got some good teachers in Spacek, Hamrlik and Gill. The difference so far is that when PK makes an error he has the youthful strength and quick reactions to make up for it almost immediately.
spacek was a madman today ..he looked fully pumped for this game…he was not going to lose this game even if it killed him…if pouliot plays 8/10 games like today not 2/10 he could become the scorer we need…ak46 may produce on another team but his window with us is closing fast…pk had problems with the ranger forwards in his end…few pk today and plecks had jump all night…with so many non scorers in the line up they should be doing most of the pk so plecks is rested and had jump all game…
I’m sure Boone’s highly paid staff will be happy to run the numbers after the games. Mr. Boone — can you assign an intern to the project? I’d be happy to work with the blonde who got you coffee this afternoon…
Who’s leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
Big ups to Benny and Spacek tonight, I was just thinking to myself the former was having a great game when BAM he scores out of the blue beating Lundqvist on the short side. Cheers, Habs fans!
I started typing the comment prior to the goal. Going up by a goal doesn’t change the fact that JM is out of his element coaching young players to succeed.
You’re out of your element communicating in English. Just kidding.
In response to your earlier comment, I had a pretty good thing going in hockey until I badly blew out a knee when I was sixteen. Knee surgery was not as successful thirty years ago.
My current work has me running a crew that is about the same size as a hockey team with a similar mix of ages. I just don’t send an inexperienced guy out on a job and then blame him when he screws up.
ok I agree with youse…Eller has got to to Hamilton. He’s had a taste of the good life and is not breaking in like he should. A couple dozen bus rides should get him motivated.
Desharnais is not making anybody look good. I know its only been a few games but he has got to start producing points.
Watching Weber tonight and Picard a while back neither are good enough at this point in time. Picard is a AHL journeyman and I wonder if Wewber will ever make th grade. Needs to pout on some weight as in muscle. I guess thats not a revelation eh?
We’ve got to pull the plug on Kostitsyn. Sad to say but enuff is enuff. We need someone to give it all with scoring to boot.
Damn just missed the Habs goal as I was about to write…I hoipe this isn’t a shut out!! YIPEE!!!
Auld is playing well. Is it just me, though, or does he not look like a picnic table on skates?

I DUNNO about you, but bennys got tremendous skills, all he needs is a bit of confidence. i hope we resign him next year hes only 24 we should be patient. if we do decide to let him go, i think he should goo to pitts he can be the winger that crosby needs
When I watched him on LI back in October, he looked like a monster in net, he’s a big dude, His wife is a hottie too, just figured i’d throw that in there
Thank God! C’mon boys how about a regulation win. Y’know Darche may not be the most talented guy but at least things happen when he’s out there. Still love that guy.
best passing sequence of the year prior to the goal..sadly most of our forwards are non finishers..they lack the natural goal scoring ability that cannot be learned…they lack pure natural offensive vision…for most players the effort is there but our forwards are really a lottery team in scoring talent…without the goaltending,d play and pk we would be in leaf country
if pG decides to trade ak i hope he trades him to the west for a big forward. imo i hope we can land clowe, backes or wayne simmonds. if we trade him within confrence knowing habs recent trades, we trade him suddely he starts scoring he becomes the player we wanted in him and the rest you know
I thought the NHL’s garbage dump was New York (Islanders)? Perhaps Florida too….

He has 23 goals in 70 something games with the Habs.
He needs to stay. We need a young forward who can score. Tired of hearing that Habs give up on young forwards (D’ags, Sergei, Guillaume, Grabovski) too easily. We need to keep this kid.
It’s getting embarrassing actually. Or maybe it’s just me because most of my friends are Leaf fans?
Is Pouliot’s problem confidence or desire? I’m inclined to the latter….

totaly agreed, i think JM has to put his bloody ego aside and be patient with this guy, if you ask me if i had to choose between benny and larry i choose benny
Memo to every player in the NHL not playing for the Habs: Do whatever the hell you want to PK Subban, you won’t find an official who’ll penalize you for it.
Neither team looks very good. The Rangers basically had one stretch of 2 minutes where they outplayed the Habs, and now the Canadiens are just passing into everyone’s skates. This game can easily turn around.
Its going to be tough to beat Lunqvist with only perimeter chances, going to have to drive the net alot harder in the coming periods. Its too bad Cammy is missing, he usually rips apart the King’s glove hand, but without him we really have no sniper in the lineup tonight, not good when facing a goalie like him.
I loved how McGuire was impressed with the turn-out at MSG in spite of the weather. Really impressive considering the millions of people within walking distance of the building.
This one’s going to be tough. John Tortorella has put a firecracker up the Rangers’ collective behind. They’re exploding all over the place and we’re just watching.
Dear Mr. Boone: would you consider the idea of putting the between-period headline as “0-1″ (e.g.) if we are behind, and “1-0″ if ahead? Really helpful for those times when I have to sneak a look on my smartphone….
A tad ironic when there were quite a few empty purple seats in the lower bowl for most of the first period. I swear McGuire just says stuff whether or not it happens to be true, just because he likes the sound of his own voice.
My friend called to say his newborn was having problems falling asleep, told him to use RDS, called back his baby is fast asleep. Told me he’s DVRing the game for future use.
Kinda like questioning starting Auld AFTER we’re down 1-0. Sure Carey gives us a better chance to win, but we’ve played our back-up 6 times all season and we’re facing a back-to-back.
I don’t think Lundqvist is the goalie who should be worried tonight. The habs also have severe problems lighting up even backup goalies this year. No scoring + star goalie + no price…….
I only hope he chokes as badly as Thomas did. Also I’m looking forward to Wiz vs Avery
Other than that ONE error, Spacek solid as a rock. Darche full of energy, and Auld with some good saves (this is also how the defence should play – don’t give that rebound)
Luck = Confidence. Whatever else JM might be, he’s a downer. We should call him Buzz Killington.
We played with attitude at the beginning of the year and won. Subban mouthed off. Price was ice. We started losing when we lost the swagger.
I think the confidence is back and we can start winning – despite JM. Subban said in a recent interview something like, “we need to play our game”. I heard that as a subtle middle finger to the coaching staff. He’s been better since. Carey post-game pose, Patches shoving Chara… all good things. Let the winning resume.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
You could have said maybe,.. Tobermorey? It’s a pretty nice place to take a trip.
Well, IMHO (H as in humble), the Habs are playing awful of late and even though we pulled the last 2 out of the fire, they have to start finding their lost MoJo soon ’cause baby, their luck is running out. Simply put, they are NOT doing the simple things, doing them right and they’re being out worked and forced off the puck. JM needs to address this and other things post haste!
weber is not a nhl defensement…never has been never will be…I was laughing when people were pumping his tires after he played one good game against the worst team in the league (NJ)
Who is this Kostitsyn guy people are posting about?
Apparently he is on the roster but I just don’t see him…are the Habs paying him money to disappear on the ice? If so he is so good at it give him a raise…
If by problem, you mean lack of offense, then he definitely is. We have more talent in our lineup even with Markov and Cammalleri out than the Rangers do, and by a good margin. Martin’s system has every player working so hard to get back all the time that they’re already tired when they get the puck out and have offensive chances, thus all the whiffed chances.
I am going to attempt a reverse TripleX and followed by a double Manapart. Hope I don’t belly flop.
Let’s see:
I called for Wiz to be acquired, they acquire Wiz
I said they needed to play Auld more, he get’s a start
I suggested splitting up the old Czechs as Wiz and Picard (or Weber) is a recipe for disaster, tonight had Spacek with Weber and Hamrlik with Wiz
Now I also called for Plex and Cammy to be split up, can’t say that was intentional as he’s out with a tummy-ache, but given the way Pouliot played with Plex tonight watch for some more line juggline when Cammy returns.
carolina just keeps winning these huge games, and boston too!?
we’re winning games, but man, keeping pace is gonna be tough in this next stretch, and for the remaining games for that matter.
Pouls deserves a shot with Cammy and maybe Pleks when Cammy gets back, to maybe kinda spark plug Cammy again too. Pouls has just been wicked latelty. That being said, most of his success comes with being paired with a grinder like Darche, so we’ll see. Looks like AK could maybe see another game with this look he had on the thrid line with a guy like Moen, 2 big bodies asked to play physical (when AK wants to, REALLY wants to, he can throw his weight). He did pretty well in that role tonight I thought.
weird stat of the game;
Pyatt TOI: 5 mins
(weird that Martin’s fave youngster, and PK specialist, didn’t see the ice anywhere in the 2nd or 3rd)
Pacioretty TOI: 21 +min
(he’s been money since his call up, but still, for Martin to give a kid THAT much time out there…wow, he must be impressing…far cry from last year)
We need another defenseman and Florida will be hard pressed to make the playoffs. Any thoughts on picking up Dennis Wideman. 27, decent size, offensive capabilities, very good playoff numbers (when he makes the post season), reasonable cap hit. Signed for one season after this with a $3.9m cap hit and $4.5m real salary. We need some bodies under contract to play D next season.
Maybe for a second rounder in 2012 and a guy like White or Schultz?
Who’s leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
Not a bad defenceman but I think we would be better off not overpaying anymore players. Let’s give our own players some time, they’re getting the job done. We need a scoring forward more than another defenceman in my eyes. Team defence is this teams strong point, putting the puck in the net isn’t
Really Montreal is first in the division, wins matter, not loser points. On to Wednesday, beating Pittsburgh on Wednesday Night Hockey, sounds good to me!
Whatever. I am having fun with it. Big deal. I also wanted Pax to come up later not sooner and thought that Subban should’ve started the season in Hamilton.
It’s a forum to exchange ideas. The fact is I stated those things and they happened. You’re the one being douchey here, douchey.
BTW. I’d like to recant on splitting Cammy and Plex and would rather see Pouliot with them and AK demoted.
Now I’m logged in. What is up with this site? Great comeback win again. A very important 2 points considering everyone else seems to be winning tonight. Pouliot played one of his best games tonight, but the guy I’m really impressed with since he arrived here is James Wisniewski. Another point tonight on the winning goal and 7 points in 6 games, plus from the interview I watched on TSN, a guy who will go through a wall for his teammates. Great pickup PG!
Eller is not having his best game. Watching the games instead of playing has made him rusty and he’s less confident. I don’t know why some posters are saying that he should be sent down to Hamilton. Who do they replace him with, the water boy? DD isn’t exactly burning things up. Let him play and he’ll learn what he needs to do.
PK Subban said after his stint in the press box that when he got into live action again the game seemed so much quicker. He needed a few games to adjust and now hes playing like himself again.
I think the same thing with Eller, people forget he is a rookie. Let him learn at the NHL level. Hes proven he can play with in the NHL now he just needs to figure out his game. I’m not against him going to Hamilton as it helped out Max-Pac immenely but I totally agree people in here completely over-react whenever a player is struggling.
Long time since we’ve had two lines making intense plays shift after shift. This just wears ‘em down as the game progresses. (To state the obvious ’cause I’m happy)

That’s my point. He’s slowly being transformed from a flashy guy for the skills competition to a calm, pass-first defenseman. Hey, I love the kid. He’s got moxie and great natural skills. JM is teaching him to be a Hamrlik type, stable, conservative, judiciously chose when to join the rush or pinch – which great long term – but not great for being in the skills competition at the moment. Did you notice that the Calder talk died when he started getting benched?

Love the way Darche goes to the net.
Darche !!! man i like that guy for his effort
Gee. a quick whistle by Lee to end a chance for the Habs. What a shock.
Thanks for the Latin lesson. I agree, he’s more stable looking for safe outlet passes. I miss the end to end rushes from earlier this year. You know, before JM sat him down to re-train him.

Roszival’s salary for next year is about $1 million less than his cap hit, so they will be able to save money while still getting the cap floor. That had pretty big impact on the deal.
The kind of trade we might see with Gomez in a few years to a team that can barely afford the salary cap floor.
Are you planning on posting during the game tonight??
It’s somewhat amusing that the ESPN midseason report makes absolutely no mention of the primary reason that the Habs are in as good a spot as they are.
Go Habs Go!
So no PK Subban for the Skills Competition, I mean hey, why would you want to invite a smooth-skating, offensively dynamic rookie to the ASG, I mean what are they trying to do there, show off? Nah, too disrespectful…
- I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.
Go Habs. Let’s stop norwegian Zuccarello from having a hat-trick in game winners. He has 2 in a row now!
Surely he was referring to Ryan O’Byrne! Or maybe Maxim Lapierre?

Johnny Milquetoast benched Subban and watered down his playing style. We haven’t seen the dynamic young D-man display his skills in weeks.
We may have to give Bettman’s incompetent factotums (factoti?) a pass for failing to select PK from his early season press clippings.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
Something is wrong with this picture. Wolski isn’t exactly a hot-shot, in fact he’s kind of the West’s version of AK46.

Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
Vrbata is apparently on the block in PHX, too. With Rozcival, it looks like Lepisto will be the odd man out on their blueline.
Put down the tinfoil.
PK’s omission has to be a message from the NHL brass that they don’t care for his personality. Ironic, though, that they love Ovechkin, but not PK.
I assume that in a couple years, it would be “okay” for PK to be who he is now?
A bit of humour before the big game.
Oh, I know this one, the 2003 draft pick missing from the article is Jaroslav Halak!
Erik Karlsson ahead of Drew Dougthy makes no sense either.
“It must be love!”
Tighter than a clam with lockjaw
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
it’ll be an interesting game to watch this evening. rangers young guns up against the habs young guns. lots of mistakes and bravado on display. hopefully, the Canadiens vets can keep their rookies in check. it will be fun to watch
Is anyone having any problems with logging in? I’ve had to do it at least 4 times already and it was even worse last saturday night.
Rags faceoff man complains about Pleks feet, so Pleks beats him on the draw anyways.
I HATE the Gill-PK combo
and I do not understand it whatsoever
The whole kit, really… The shorts and socks are great too.
Mr Boone, I believe it was Gilroy with that great pass to Dubinsky
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
The cameras are a mile away in this dumpy old building.
On a regular basis, sure, but with the calls that have been let go so far, it wasn’t.
Eller is benched already
ZZZZZZZZZZZZ
It’s easy when you’re on Mount Pious.
I agree, the navy retro look is excellent.
Naw, it’s great last one of the great buildings.
Better beer than the Bell Center
It’s easy when you’re on Mount Pious.
Anyone find the feed boring? The camera is too far and the crowd is either muted or all dead. I hear a little bit of a boo when Gomez has the puck though.
Boston 2 Ottawa 0
How is that not a penalty? I thought playing anything but the puck on a disputed icing was automatically a penalty.
Isn’t the NHL trying to cut down on exactly what Dubinsky just did to Weber? No attempt to play the puck on that icing, just went straight for a hit from behind.
So far, no other issues have been reported. I will be contacting you privately for additional information regarding your login issue.
It’s simple – no touch icing. It could start tomorrow.
Gill too slow, Subban too timid and Auld far too back in his net. Lovely.
game over.
habs record when they don’t score the 1st goal- `1-15-1
Gill ain’t exactly a speed demon.
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
Wiz and Avery starting already. And a huge grin on Wiz’ face.
I think we’re going to see a lot of incursions on our left side
Wrong. I think they won the last 2 when they didnt score first….
There may be other teams, but only ONE Club De Hockey…
One could say Gill is a pylon. One could also say it was one heck of a pass and a beautiful goal.
Gomez? Dubinski .
Does Pierre McGuire EVER shut up?
Eller gets a penalty for reaching for the puck….
Eller…oh boy !!
Shocking. The first penalty goes against us, after the rangers commit multiple offences that could have been penalized.
Bad O zone penalty by Eller, not good for the youngster,
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Tough game for Eller so far. He’ll play better as the game goes on though.
Now that’s if Martin doesn’t shorten his bench.

ELLER!!!!
Its a fair call Andrew, IMO
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
I really like those NY jerseys. It’s the best of theirs I think I’ve seen.
Uhhm..us being up 2-1 is a really poor time to make this comment…
i love how you make your statements with such emphasis…like you really think you know the game…fact of the matter is if you knew anything about the game you’d be in it…
The penalty was totally justified.
Last year no one thought we were good and we made it to the ECF. You never know…
The torch be yours to hold it high!
The Rangers are a better team than we give them credit for. They are getting younger and giving those young players ice time and opportunities to get better. They will be better next year.
We need to match their plan and stop thinking we are going to win anything this year and start building next years team.
Spacek has been brilliant this game.
No penalties …please….
Gee, wonder why Pleky didn’t pass it on the 2 on 1 that time…
I get the impression sometimes that Spacek and Hamrlik draw straws to see who’ll turn in a good game on any given night. I like them both even though they sometimes make me shudder.
***Subbang!!!***
Great save by Auld. I know everyone inexplicably loves to hate the guy, but he’s had a brilliant season in his few starts.
SPACEK JESUS. Hero one minute, goat the next. Don’t pass back if there’s no one around
…spacek
Big stop by Auld
Awful reverse Spatcho
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
damn you andrew!
Loving Auld and Pouliot tonight
There, I just shuddered.
***Subbang!!!***
They’ve both had some horrendous games for us, but damn when they’re on…
Ranger Announcers complaining about PK slew foot on Dubinsky, looked like one to me too
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
ANybody got a good link working ? My ATDHE links are crapping up on me
Rangers want the puck more
I know, for a backup he’s had an excellent record, especially in light of a lack of goals support.
- I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.
Who else dislikes the Canadiens “shutdown mode”?
MSG Ranger homers whining about non-calls…Chris F. Lee in our back pocket baby…
Are bed bugs a problem in New York? Wishing my RDS feed was good tonight…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
It’s big, it’s bald, It’s Alex Auld
Seriously, Kostitsyn… you’re NHL’s rain man.
I’d feel bad for them if Dubinsky hadn’t laid no less than 5 hits from behind tonight, each one unnecessary.
Good shift by AK even though it ends in a weak pass. I rag on him but the kid does have talent when he turns it on.
***Subbang!!!***
Everything he did there was great until that last pass. But he was being mugged and had nobody open.
***Subbang!!!***
C’mom lads ….hang in there !!!
Definitely a penalty.
Trenton…Where in Maine are you? I’m from Lewiston originally…big Mainiacs fan…
Just saw the Black bears play down in Florida at a tourney we were at…

Yeah, that’s bad – even money has it on Coach’s Corner this Saturday….
http://www.firstrow.net for all sports streams…
all this because of Benny, wow has he been good
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Tab#rnac that was close!….
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Gomer’s had a little playoff jump in his step all night against his former team. Nice to see.
You will always be a Canadien in my eyes, Saku
I get shivers up my spine every time Hamrlik tries to use the boards to clear…. is this what dread feels like?
Auld should thank his posts.
Lewiston, eh? Right on. I’m from Bangor, but I live in Montreal now (freshman at McGill). It’s a shame the Black Bears couldn’t have taken two Ws out of the tourney in Florida, but I’m sure it was still fun, right?
Spach saved one
Shades of Roy
Spatch was good in net tonight.
not even a shot on goal
I actually talked with Whitehead before a practice and Mark Anthoine my homeboy from Lewiston…
McGill is an excellent school…plus you are in Montreal which is awesome…did not make the pilgrimage to the Bell Center this year because I have been too busy coaching my son’s hockey team…we travel all over being a southern team…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Yes Andrew, he is a bit chippy, I think he embelished a bit too though
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Ahem.
everytime I think about the ECF I think about how close we were to the finals (only 3 wins away…7 from the cup)
it’s frustrating to think back to that ECF loss…I’m not proud of it, I’m disappointed and not satisfied.
- Gomez is holding down the suck button
Hehe, that’s awesome. Welcome aboard Brian.
Auld……Spacho……Benny……Plecky…….Darche……….WWWWOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN HHHOOOOOOO!!!!
Whooooaa baby!!! WHAT is goin’ on in Pennsylvania!!?
Great gut-check game by the Habs. Gotta love winning must win games.
Carolina managed to blow their lead. They might still lose ground.
Ill take those points.
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
Workhorse of the game Darche
another good win and once again for all the bashers “suck it”
@leafguy: Now the game is over…
I don’t mind cuz pouliot just score a goal
That’s fine, I know they’re doing pretty well
But I know sometimes it gets bright in the light
Better get right in line with the kids, they’re alright
The kids are alright
Count Chocula was wise to play Auld – He’s a Ranger killer
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Nice win…If Ottawa did not suck we would be in better shape…probably more realistic to worry about the Canes…Goodnight boys!
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Nice win…If Ottawa did not suck we would be in better shape…probably more realistic to worry about the Canes…Goodnight boys!
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Don’t look now, Habs have won 4 of 5!! Back in business!
“I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.”
- Bilbo Baggins
Benny, Max Pac, PK and Price are our future. Eller also but he needs time in Hamilton to mature.
I bet Coach Martin is a HAPPY JACK with his team’s performance tonight
Good road game. Keep it tight. Hang in there. Hope for bounces. Jacques Martin is happy.
Mr. Boone may have created a new statistic, the BPM or Boone Plus Minus. A positive comment about a specific player in his liveblog earns the player a +1 and a negative comment gets them a -1.
Pouliot and Auld led everyone with +3. Benny was our best forward and Auld player a strong game. So no surprises there.
MaxPac, Darche, Moen, Spatch and Gionta each had +2 ratings.
Halpern got a late nod. He was the only +1 player tonight.
Gomez was the only neutral BPM player with offsetting one plus with one minus.
AK, Pleks and the Wiz had -1 scores. AK was invisible early and played a erratic game late. I thought Pleks was better than his minus one indicates and the Wiz was quiet.
PK was a -2; Weber a -3; and Eller a -4. Not a good showing from the rookies this evening.
Harmlik, Gill, Pyatt and DD had no positive or negative comments. A good defensive D man is like a good offensive lineman in football, you never hear about them when they are playing well. Pyatt hardly player. I thought DD did enough to make the score sheet. But that’s why they play the game.
Who’s leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
4 of 5 AND the last 3 we won coming from behind.
There may be other teams, but only ONE Club De Hockey…
Ranger telecast never showed JM tonight, did he complete his grocery list ,
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Satisfying win with a depleted lineup.
***Subbang!!!***
A satisfying hard working win. Auld was solid. The team is pulling together with the key guys out.
Calgary 5 Canes 5
Brian Leetch is bashing PK too, I guess he never did anything like that in his career, F,off,
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Let’s all that about the Good, scratch that the Awesomely brilliant Jaques Martin!
Jaques coached marvelously again tonight,
Brilliant, Just like he was in the playoffs last year,
How dare you say such things ’round these parts?
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
spacek was a madman today ..he looked fully pumped for this game…he was not going to lose this game even if it killed him…if pouliot plays 8/10 games like today not 2/10 he could become the scorer we need…ak46 may produce on another team but his window with us is closing fast…pk had problems with the ranger forwards in his end…few pk today and plecks had jump all night…with so many non scorers in the line up they should be doing most of the pk so plecks is rested and had jump all game…
Damn them Bruins and Canes!! seriously!!
Hilarious!!!
Canes 6 Calgary 5 SO…Damn it !!
Sigh…
Canes get two points.
I hate 3 point games.
Hey. New guy. Good call. Can we get the BPM stats every night from here on?
***Subbang!!!***
lol
but really though credit needs to be given when due, N’est-ce-pas?
would hope the Martin trolls would fess up,
I’m sure Boone’s highly paid staff will be happy to run the numbers after the games. Mr. Boone — can you assign an intern to the project? I’d be happy to work with the blonde who got you coffee this afternoon…
Who’s leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
Will never happen lol. Most of the meatheads show up whenever the Habs lose anyway.
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
Big ups to Benny and Spacek tonight, I was just thinking to myself the former was having a great game when BAM he scores out of the blue beating Lundqvist on the short side. Cheers, Habs fans!
No call on taking Gionta down? fucken chris lee
That’s total BS. That should have gone both ways.
I started typing the comment prior to the goal. Going up by a goal doesn’t change the fact that JM is out of his element coaching young players to succeed.
your out of your element talking about hockey…
You’re out of your element communicating in English. Just kidding.
In response to your earlier comment, I had a pretty good thing going in hockey until I badly blew out a knee when I was sixteen. Knee surgery was not as successful thirty years ago.
My current work has me running a crew that is about the same size as a hockey team with a similar mix of ages. I just don’t send an inexperienced guy out on a job and then blame him when he screws up.
Subban
So Subban gets grabbed WITHOUT the puck and he gets a penalty. Chris Lee, please gut yourself.
indeed
nulified
You mean we’d have to give more?
That has to count…
Gotta love garbage goals. If this gets called back because of Pouliot getting checked from behind I’m turning the game off.
Goal !!!!!!!!!!…give us a break…
It’s a good goal…finally we crash the net…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Yes!!!
Our two best forwards are Darche and Benny
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh, a dirty goal
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
dirty goal but it counts 1-1 go habs go
Great play by Spacek on that goal, and an excellent shift from every Hab on the ice. Auld has been damn good this game.
ok I agree with youse…Eller has got to to Hamilton.
YIPEE!!!
You aren’t kidding – they seem to be out there every other shift!
Go Habs Go!
Pouliot! Awwww
Benny flubbed it, hes still playing well though
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Eller to Hamilton… AK to ?
Ottawa is pathetic
Benny with Plek…looks good…Benny has a pulse so he is more qualified to play with Plek than AK46 and he is not a zombie…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Ottawa sucks.
Centre Hice: Bruins to unveil new look vs. Habs
Yeah….. They’re not doing us any favours.
Auld is playing well. Is it just me, though, or does he not look like a picnic table on skates?

An important announcement from the Government of Canada:
Health Canada is reminding Canadians that consumption of the Toronto Maple Leafs has led to vomiting, fever, bloody diarrhea, dementia, and penile dysfunction.
So who do we send AK too…The Sens or Calgary?
I DUNNO about you, but bennys got tremendous skills, all he needs is a bit of confidence. i hope we resign him next year hes only 24 we should be patient. if we do decide to let him go, i think he should goo to pitts he can be the winger that crosby needs
Calgary, with the rest of the trash.
AK, Webber, Eller and Pyatt to Calgary
for Iginla and Regheer
When I watched him on LI back in October, he looked like a monster in net, he’s a big dude, His wife is a hottie too, just figured i’d throw that in there
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Thank God! C’mon boys how about a regulation win. Y’know Darche may not be the most talented guy but at least things happen when he’s out there. Still love that guy.
best passing sequence of the year prior to the goal..sadly most of our forwards are non finishers..they lack the natural goal scoring ability that cannot be learned…they lack pure natural offensive vision…for most players the effort is there but our forwards are really a lottery team in scoring talent…without the goaltending,d play and pk we would be in leaf country
in your dreams
ok than thow in a pick
if pG decides to trade ak i hope he trades him to the west for a big forward. imo i hope we can land clowe, backes or wayne simmonds. if we trade him within confrence knowing habs recent trades, we trade him suddely he starts scoring he becomes the player we wanted in him and the rest you know
I thought the NHL’s garbage dump was New York (Islanders)? Perhaps Florida too….

He has 23 goals in 70 something games with the Habs.
He needs to stay. We need a young forward who can score. Tired of hearing that Habs give up on young forwards (D’ags, Sergei, Guillaume, Grabovski) too easily. We need to keep this kid.
It’s getting embarrassing actually. Or maybe it’s just me because most of my friends are Leaf fans?

As with bottom 6 guys in the past – why can’t we transplant his heart into the slumping top 6? Imagine if AK gave it as much as Darche?
Best we can get outta that deal is Staios, Hagman and Stajan.
Yep. His skill set blows my mind. I’d keep him and do everything possible to boost his confidence and keep him happy.
AK really ought to go as a zombie next halloween. Very convincing.
Like Bill Torrey said when he drafted Mike Bossy, I can teach players how to backcheck and I can’t teach them how to score.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
The secret to trading AK46 will be finding a team with no scouts that does not have access to the internet…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Is Pouliot’s problem confidence or desire? I’m inclined to the latter….

Man alive is Max Pac ever hammering other players down low,
this guy is a real punisher, what a tough hitter!,
where did this new found strenght come from? lovin it!
or Moen
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
totaly agreed, i think JM has to put his bloody ego aside and be patient with this guy, if you ask me if i had to choose between benny and larry i choose benny
If you want Iginla, you’re looking at P.K. Subban, AK46, and a 1st round pick.
That would be a 100 pt player and a yearly all-star.
does not matter dude, he just doesn’t do it for Mtl.
perhaps he will find his gonads some day elsewhere, oh well,
he suks in Mtl.
You’re loking at about 12 mil in salary. I live in Cowtown and they’re not trading Iggy
I think you should be embarassed that your friends are leaf fans…
You let Leafs make you feel embarrassed over that?
His parents are there
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
like
***Subbang!!!***
None of those guys would come even-up for AK46
It’s “Who’s leg do I have to hump to get a dry martini around here.”
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
I live in the GTA; not my fault lol
By Gorges, I think you’re right.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
That’s about 5 missed calls against the rangers. But they finally get one right.
C’mon Hamr wake up, you too AK46
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
They gotta send Eller to the ‘Dogs to get ice time and bring up White or Max
2 games before this game, whats your point, he does everything he can to help this team without scoring some games
“I went to see a fight the other night…And A hockey game broke out!” ~Rodney Dangerfield~
Something tells me the Reffing will be ass tonight.
It ass every night
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Memo to every player in the NHL not playing for the Habs: Do whatever the hell you want to PK Subban, you won’t find an official who’ll penalize you for it.
What a boring game.
Is it too early to schedule the bag skate?
A few random thoughts:
-the ice at MSG is terrible (as always).
-our rookies are, sadly, playing like rookies tonight.
-Avery is a complete embarassment to hockey.
Neither team looks very good. The Rangers basically had one stretch of 2 minutes where they outplayed the Habs, and now the Canadiens are just passing into everyone’s skates. This game can easily turn around.
Moen has more speed and heart than AK46, if he only had his and shot and skill set we could dump AK and get some new practice pucks for the boys
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
I’m in NY. Not a cloud in sky.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
oh I don’t know. The first goal was disappointing. Yeah he made Gil look bad but I think the goalie should have come thru on that one.
Habs are just slightly out of sync. Prolly come together in the second.
Getting out of that first down only one goal isn’t bad at all. Watch us go in the 2nd!
Gill and Subban were really bad in that period. Weber’s not much better.
The only way to counteract NY’s speed is by hitting them at every turn. Alas, there’s no sign of that happening tonight.
If this keeps up, the Habs might want to concede the game early and try and catch a flight out before the storm hits.
Was talking to Mrs. RGM earlier today about this one. We both predicted a snoozefest. Yup.
Go Habs Go!
It’s time to retire Guy Lapointe’s jersey.
need to put desharnais in Cammi’s spot,
eller not cutting the mustard.
Desharnais seems to produce no matter whop he plays with,
something tells me, Pleks and Desharnais can make magic
I loved how McGuire was impressed with the turn-out at MSG in spite of the weather. Really impressive considering the millions of people within walking distance of the building.
Hockey players say obviously more than anyone else in the sports world
This one’s going to be tough. John Tortorella has put a firecracker up the Rangers’ collective behind. They’re exploding all over the place and we’re just watching.
Yup. That could be worth a try…
Dear Mr. Boone: would you consider the idea of putting the between-period headline as “0-1″ (e.g.) if we are behind, and “1-0″ if ahead? Really helpful for those times when I have to sneak a look on my smartphone….
and there is no snow yet. Pierre is a boob.
Boyle made a great play to draw that penalty, but I’ll take that Subban stiff arm all day long. He made Boyle look silly.
A tad ironic when there were quite a few empty purple seats in the lower bowl for most of the first period. I swear McGuire just says stuff whether or not it happens to be true, just because he likes the sound of his own voice.
PK should have helped Gill on the first goal, I am not sure why he didn’t skate over to take the angle away from Dubie
This is pathetic. This team never seems to score a goal until half of the game is over. Too risky.
Cmon Habs, prove me wrong and score a couple early in the 2nd.
Ice seems really, really bad at MSG
Webber out worked
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
with the way Weber’s playing, Picard almost seems like the better option. At least Picard can win a physical battle once in a while.
Nice play 67!
Pacioretty going to the net hard and earning that penalty.
My friend called to say his newborn was having problems falling asleep, told him to use RDS, called back his baby is fast asleep. Told me he’s DVRing the game for future use.
It’s easy when you’re on Mount Pious.
Kinda like questioning starting Auld AFTER we’re down 1-0. Sure Carey gives us a better chance to win, but we’ve played our back-up 6 times all season and we’re facing a back-to-back.
I thought that call against Girardi was BS. Maybe the Habs knew it too and chose to not score.
Didn’t the Habs light up Lundqvist for something like 6 goals last year?
Goalies in Montreal have two roles, netminder and scapegoat.
I don’t think Lundqvist is the goalie who should be worried tonight. The habs also have severe problems lighting up even backup goalies this year. No scoring + star goalie + no price…….
I only hope he chokes as badly as Thomas did. Also I’m looking forward to Wiz vs Avery
Gotta love it ….!!!
Yes! Woo, that was a stressful final ten minutes.
2 points well fought
NEVER IN DOUBT!
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Thank God we won – but maaan, our offense needs to be consistent throughout the entire game, not just the second half.
Whew, that was close.
Just wondering, when was the last time we got an empty netter?
Great games by Benny and Auld.
Other than that ONE error, Spacek solid as a rock. Darche full of energy, and Auld with some good saves (this is also how the defence should play – don’t give that rebound)
Auld was SOLID!!
“Start the season with a clean equipment bag and a freah bucket of febreze!”-CharlieHodgeFan
For those wondering.
Lundqvist against Habs last year:
Think Pleks could have been more helpful in the shutdown role…
Too much negative waves around here lately, where did Sgt. Oddball go?
Tighter than …
a North Korean border crossing.
(You’re welcome!)
As happy as I am to get the PP, that was a terrible call. All Girardi did was push him.
Chris F. Lee throwing us a bone…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Our centers can’t seem to pass to the point.
This is very hard to watch….
then stop watching….but whatever you do…please keep complaining…
Another game where we go halfway into the game without a goal. Seriously, our forwards aren’t producing at ALL.
Exactly what I mentioned earlier.
The forwards only have fire under their as*es when they’re down with few minutes left.
It’s been a WHILE, and this team still can’t manage to score in the 1st half.
Nice backcheck by ELLER, THATS A GOOD SIGN
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Sure wish the Senators weren’t so pathetic.
JM keeps on breaking up our good lines
Good lines ?
This is pro hockey.?……omg somebody shoot me!!
whats with all the middle aged men on this site complaining and whining like my 12 year old sister when she finds out justin bieber is sold out
darche pulls a darche
And Darche blows the chance of his life. Ain’t gonna get any easier than that, Mathieu old boy.
You know what would be awesome… if all our scoring opportunities would stop ending up on Darche’s stick.
Webber really, like really weak on the plays down low, he places habs in trouble constantly, and wins zero puck battles.
Andre k? Is this guy even on the ice? does nothing, you don’t hear his name, no heart, Get Rid of Em.
Come on habs with heart, pull out another W
Spacek just saved Plekanec’s ass, what a stupid play that was.
weber is not a nhl defensement…never has been never will be…I was laughing when people were pumping his tires after he played one good game against the worst team in the league (NJ)
First Hab that crashes the net will score…King Henry ain’t giving away any perimeter shots
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Auld saves the bacon.
kostitsyn perd la rondelle
heard his names a few times
That looked like boarding to me….
personally I’m convinced that JM is the problem with this team
This sounds weird but, Nice shot Gomer
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Tough for Kostitsyn to make an impact when he gets less ice time than Darche or Desharnais, and zero PP time.
Pffft! Pleks is all out of sorts.
Auld is solid, so is our defense for the most part.
Our Offence, on the other hand…
Who is this Kostitsyn guy people are posting about?
Apparently he is on the roster but I just don’t see him…are the Habs paying him money to disappear on the ice? If so he is so good at it give him a raise…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
AK is playing like SK when he was he was here. Maybe we could trade him to Nashville
THey are killing us on the cycle. Weber and Spatch have no answer.
This team lacks a top-2 dman and a top 3 forward. This is just the main needs – don’t even get me started on depth.
Injuries is not the problem – every team in the league goes through it and good teams still manage to play well.
3 nights of Bull riding at MSG, thats why the Ice sucks
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
Perfect play by Wiz on the 2 on 1.
Unfortunately that’s one of the few highlights for us tonight.
We have no life whatsoever.
Boyle just tried to break his stick over his knee, and failed miserably. What a douche.
I know JM likes to sit on one goal leads…but someone tell him this is the Ranger’s lead
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
Who is responsible for the offense, Muller or Pearn?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
AHL team against NHL team = THIS freak show!
We’re so totally inept, it’s painful to watch.
I’m almost to the point where I’d rather we lose with panache & youth… if only we had any.
This team is totally confused becaused JM is totally confused.
Ugh, Bruins and Canes both with big leads in their games tonight……..a must-win for sure
Pearn is responsible for defense I believe…
He knew. They protected the 1 goal deficit well enough to get the equalizer. Now, protect the tie.
And it was never in doubt,!
Keeping the opposition to two goals or less will go a long way into the play offs.
Pouliot finally playing with some confidence.
As long as everyone is on the same J.Martin page, we won’t miss our three best players that are out injured.
If we can only win tomorrow. In 5 years, Andree and I have been to about 12 Mtl. games all over the league, and have yet to see a win.
Tomorrow night, for luck, I am even going to change my underwear this month.
Coulda been 13 were it not for your rolling stones… Flyers 5 – Habs 3
OOH AAH – HABS ON THE WARPATH!
I said you can be a bit douchey when you say stuff like this, you say this and are a bit douchey.
David, going to Hurley’s Saturday night to watch the game??
boones so right.
carolina just keeps winning these huge games, and boston too!?
we’re winning games, but man, keeping pace is gonna be tough in this next stretch, and for the remaining games for that matter.
He did pretty well in that role tonight I thought.
weird stat of the game;
Pyatt TOI: 5 mins
(weird that Martin’s fave youngster, and PK specialist, didn’t see the ice anywhere in the 2nd or 3rd)
Pacioretty TOI: 21 +min
(he’s been money since his call up, but still, for Martin to give a kid THAT much time out there…wow, he must be impressing…far cry from last year)
All right, they seemed to have found the on switch.
Go Habs Go!
Now that was a shift… two great shifts in a row.
Amazing.
Not sure how this is going to count, but I can hope….
Great avatar by the way, Brian’s a beauty
Is it David or Brian.?
…and spill a little in the glass…giggidy
OOH AAH – HABS ON THE WARPATH!
FINALLY.
A nice greasy goal.
Woo!
One of the dirtiest goals of the year, but the red light is all that matters
Bowling shoe ugly, but not as bad as that one that Eric Staal scored against Kipper earlier tonight.
Go Habs Go!
Looks good to me.
Benny went to the net? I am at a loss for words
Wow, what a sequence. Weber looked good there.
Ya, but we have to walk the 401 from Belleville.!
Keith , how is all the precipitation in Fredericton now!
Problems, the last couple of weeks with the server, so they say. But i have been OK now, for a while.
AK46 for David Clarkson and a prospect
wow is this HIO or HF BOARDS with all the trade proposals. lol
Send down Eller, bring up White
White? You’re kidding right? White?
***Subbang!!!***
Nicely put Brian… and I believe it’s Boone’s leg but, check with him first.
It’s his show. I’ll check with him.
Whose leg do I have to hump to get a martini around here?
But… Dubinsky is a LH shot.
The Rangers hit from behind A LOT.
Trade AK to Belarus for futures
Is Mike Milbury their General Manager?…Only way that goes down…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
A lot of delusional trade proposals. Really over-valuing our players.
AK is not worth a top 6 forward right now. I doubt he has a market.
I’m sure AK would fetch more than you think, but the trades are still delusional.
WHAT A SNIPE BY POULIOT!!!!!
amazing !!!
Pouliot darche and ples and auld on their game tonight!
“I went to see a fight the other night…And A hockey game broke out!” ~Rodney Dangerfield~
Poo-Poo-Pouliot!!
***Subbang!!!***
Benny and the Jets!
BENNY!
Pouliot!!! Nice…
“Six more years…God Bless You Turtleneck Man!”
WHAT. A. GOAL!!!!!
benny definately playing well tonite good goal
Beastly.
sign him pG sign him dammit
POO POO POULIOT……….. WHATS UP BUGS???????????????????????????
There may be other teams, but only ONE Club De Hockey…
Oh Pooh!
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Henry….the King….uugh !!
I don’t know if that’s an amazing snipe of a bad goal.
Guillaume who?
Pouliot and Darche a commanding duo tonight, working well with the always effective Plecks.
Snipe!
Our Poop is smelling rather good tonight, eh Mr Boone, Real nice to see
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
NICE SHOOTING there Benny!
Gomez has 14 pts in the last 16 games.
just sayin’.
Just so you all know; that should be my boy’s 2nd of the night.
Left elbow on the 1st.
Total gyp.
Aah, cmon guys, no “B-B-B-Benny and jets” chants?
Benny is getting his chance now, and deserves it — top 6 minutes
OK JM, whatever you do, don’t sit on this lead!
That’s the way to put the biscuit in the basket Benny!
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Hey, where are all our little friends tonight?
***Subbang!!!***
Howie Meeker!!!!!!!
He kills penalties, plays a strong defensive game.
Oh and he had an assist on the goal.
It’s AK46′s job to score.
A sweet break though defenders and roofing it in atlanta 2 games ago…
“I went to see a fight the other night…And A hockey game broke out!” ~Rodney Dangerfield~
Avery just got away with a hold on PK.
Looks like it’s going to be one of those games where Lee calls nothing against the opponents. That was easily interference against Pleks.
he is so brutal
What the hell – Dubinsky just skated by everyone.

Tighter than …

Pat Hickey’s wallet when the lunch bill comes (and when people start asking why I was banned, remember this…)
a bon vivant forced to live in Trois-Rivieres
I heard the golf ball analogy differently…
Tighter than a frog’s butt.
WTF was that, PK. Just cause he beats your partner, doesn’t mean you can just stand there.
I predict a big game from Primetime tonight.
G-Love will put on a show. Just watch and enjoy.
“Hey Richard, two minutes for looking so good!”
Well that didn’t take long.
F, I hate the Rangers. The laffs of America.
Here we go again………..
This is one hell of a 19 year rebuilding plan!
Please, for all that’s good and holy in this world…LET THEM PLAY. No defensive shell please.
***Subbang!!!***
i hope jm not playing shutdown hockey
Wow! Pouliot threads the needle!
PS: Great pass by The Wiz
The happier I am with the play of Benny and Max-Pac, the more of a heartbreak I hv for AK46.
Great defensive play by Kostitsyn, something he’s been doing all season and not getting any credit for.
Hmmmm…
***Subbang!!!***
Spacek just beat Gaborik in a race that started dead even. And again, contact on an icing that should have been penalized.
Long time since we’ve had two lines making intense plays shift after shift. This just wears ‘em down as the game progresses. (To state the obvious ’cause I’m happy)
Gio-Gomez-MaxPac + Darche-Pleks-Pouliot
Refs letting everything go. Guarantee they’ll call a dumb one soon.
***Subbang!!!***
Chris Lee is a striped turd
