And it should be 3-0.
Video reviews in Toronto missed the angle that showed Josh Gorges fishing out a puck that had crossed the line.
Michael Grabner took advantage of errors in the neutral zone by Brian Gionta and Alexandre Picard to sweep in alone and, of course, beat Carey Price.
Canadiens had a 16-7 shot advantage in the period.

WOOOOO
GOAL!
Nailed that Russian!
Russia getting some real good chances…
That’s a great forward line.
But defense & goal? Beer league.
Leblanc had an assist in the 1st, hoping to see him rack up more points as the game continues
Sounds like a starting All-Star lineup.
Petrov-Koivu-Bure
MAB-Breezer
Racicot
Like MAB? Nobody will ever come close.
That’s ok, Keith. Hockey can’t be touch free. Canada also does it’s share of plays that would/could be called. I think it’s been a great and enjoyable game so far. You will understand why when watching Habs vs Islanders tonight
http://www.tsn.ca/live/wjhc/
Darche, but with a lot more talent
Nice screen by Leblanc on Bobkov.
Really? Darche? That’s setting the bar low.
Haven’t seen much of Leblanc play but does he normally create traffic like that in front of the net?
- In Price We Trust
Russia getting away with alot of clutchin n grabbin.
Leblanc is looking good, I’m thinking he’s going to be like Darche but with a lot more talent.
Nice! Hard working goal! Go CANADA!!!! Leblanc crucial on this play.
Leblanc with the nice setup right there on the PP, should have been a layup.
He goes to the net, helps them score.
FOLIGNO!
GOAL!
If this was a Habs player Chris Lee wouldn’t have called this interference.
Bout time they were called for one!
No kidding. Same thing with them leaving the trapezoid painted as well.
- In Price We Trust
I am liking what I am seeing from Leblanc.
What’s the deal with the crease at the CAN-RUS game? Only some of it is painted blue…. anyone have an explanation, aside from a lazy American employee at the rink?
Khe… driving into the goalie. I like that.
No kidding. I’m not even french and I find it annoying and unprofessional.
That was a brilliant individual effort by #11.
Excellent pk by Canada!
Someone please tell Gord Miller it’s Leblanc, not Leblonk
- In Price We Trust
wow timo, start your own blog guy, this is getting embarrassing.
Aa mucgh as you and others including myself want Weber to succeed in Montreal, I really can say I do not see it happening based on watching him play many times in Hamilton.
He does have a wicked NHL point shot but he is so small, easily muscled and prone to defensive lapses.
Not a good combination as Boone will agree with me.
A player in progress IMO.
Sorry to offend any Habs fans but them the facts.
“We will win the Cup one day only with ? in the nets “
Big, hulking, knuckle-dragging team lays a few big hits in the opening minutes, and then the faster, more skilled team scores…what is this, Habs-Leafs?
Boys are too focused on hitting… little on positioning. How Subban of them.
Can Subban still play junior? Would be good for him… JM’s just wasting him away anyway.
Canadian boys looks pretty big.
Alright… Let’s go Canada! Let’s get our gold back.
Did you try turning the TV?
“It’s not an obsession, It’s a way of life..”
I made it
Does anybody have an online feed for the Jr. game? I’m working and the TV is facing the wrong way.
I believe PK just began believing in his own hype. With everything from rumours swirling around Markov’s future and his injury status, and PK being talented enough to play big minutes.
PK needs to take a step back and not take things for granted. It’s the only way he’ll gain composure on the ice.
I think that’s PK’s biggest fault, he lacks composure with the puck. It may seem like a stupid thing to say with his ability to carry the puck and his incredible stickhandling…but in spite of these talents, he doesn’t know when to do what with the puck yet.
- Gomez is holding down the suck button
Weber could grow into a star offensive defenseman (like Streit) and so I’m glad he’s getting a couple of games in a row. It can’t be good for him to sit so long. That being said, I don’t like PK sitting out again. It’s almost like his own club is supporting what that weasel Richards had to say. I would have much preferred JM to respond by supporting PK. But then again PK has made some big mistakes on defense. Maybe the coaching staff has it right. Go Habs!
Totally agree. I lost count how many time dmen got beat on the outside by the speedy russian forwards.
Man, Canada’s goaltending and defense ain’t what it used to be.
Entertaining game though.
How can you not like BIG HAL GILL!
These REFEREES ARE GODDAMN EFFING PATHETIC. I am so fed up, I am barely interested in this effing game because the refs suck round things.
Cmoooon
Can’t score 1 goal against the Islanders????
You alright? I know refs ain’t the greatest tonight but you seem a little too upest. Tell us what you REALLY think.
I’m telling you all ,we need a kid line ! Max-Pax …Desharnais… Eller ! It’s such a no brainer!
In other news…
Leafs leading the Devils 3-0. Brodeur let in 3 on 14 shots.
Kovalchuk got into a fight with Phaneuf.
Kind of funny.
Who’s the annoucer for TSN2…Rod Black …??? whoever it is they are putting me to sleepzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Glad I watched 1 exciting game today !
We’re playing really loosey-goosey.
Kovalchuk v. Phaneuf fight, tonight:

Did we score a goal yet? Almost 40 minutes into the game against the last place team in the league.
Aye iy aye.
Go Habs Go!
Price I love ya Dude, but, ur just a tad casual with that puck!!
Let me guess, Price’s fault he did not stop a 2 on 0?
Hab forwards… that’s HOW you score a GOAL.
All hail the great Hab defense. Fack.
Thank God we haven’t had too many shootouts.
And again, that’s what’s so disturbing. If this game was on the CBC they wouldn’t question them at all, would they?
/\\ike
GO HABS GO!
LOL. Peace out, y’all.
Another late goal
Picard -2
Someone get a Priest…..
Whew, big hit by Patches.
Oh look, Picard again. He’s tonights Hamrlik.
Whew, big hit by Patches.
Yes.
He should have saved that after the Gionta turnover at the other team’s blue line and also should have scored a goal since obviously the entire team CANNOT score a SINGLE GOAL against the… 2nd worst team in the NHL.
hey look picard caught again.
Yes.

NYI commentators keep questionning the refs calls against US, lol.
You know, games like this one you just can’t take seriously. Poor attendance (snow storm or no), bottom feeder opponent, day after Xmas, everyone in a stuporous state of mind, a dozen missed “sure things”, odd penalties. What’s next? I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if they pulled this one out in the final minute. If they do they might be wise to rent some snowmobiles and get the heck out of town.
***Subbang!!!***
Is it just me, or does Leblanc look like he’s going to be nothing more than a grinder? He’s a hard working player, but his stick handling and skating seem to be no where near top line material IMO.
Someone here mentioned “Darche, but with more talent”.
Not what I expected but with Eller, Plekanec and Gomez – I don’t think we need a top 6 center.
I had a lot of expectations from him though. Kristo as well.
.
Haha are you kidding me? The kid has slick hands, good speed, he’s gonna be fine.. you’ve seen him for 6 mins of live ice time buddy, just settle down.
Man that Canadian D is looking shakier than the Picard-Weber pairing.
I don’t know about you guys, but this Canadian team looks awfully ordinary to me.
Thing is, Leblanc isn’t playing center. He’s playing the wing in this tournament. I’m not sure if he still plays center for the Montreal Juniors, but I heard Pierre McGuire say one time that he thought Leblanc was more suited as a winger.
Two periods into the tournament and he’s already being relegated to NHL 4th liner status. Good grief.
Go Habs Go!
Alright pp time!
GOAL! 4-3!
Thank God Russia’s defense is worse!
I am so worked up you wouldn’t believe. I’ve been yelling to myself and the tv for 2 periods. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to sleep tonight because of it. Leblanc has ruined my night – maybe my life.
YESSSS!!!!! Now don’t let them score!
I figured Russia would lose their cool sooner or later.
Where’s Louie ..??? I haven’t seen him on the ice in a while
HAHA! ANOTHER PP GOAL!
GAME.
5-3
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Love it!!!!!
If this Canadian team meets a team that actually knows how to play defense, they’re going to be in trouble. Nearly all of their goals are coming off Russian defensive zone errors. While it looks like they’re going to take this game, it’s going to be a long game when they play the Americans.
He’s on the second wave of the PP. Fortunately for Canada, it appears all we need is the first wave.
Go Habs Go!
He’s not on the top PP.
The Russians won’t give up.
What a hit!
Canada has to stay out of the box
Louis, Louis lookin good!
Why do I have a feeling that a team like USA will score 4+ goals against Canada?
Huge issues on defense and goaltending.
EDIT: Leblanc is a JM type of forward, don’t you guys think?
I agree with Boone about this Sunday hockey stuff. Tonight is generally reserved for football and Family Guy. It’s been three Saturdays without Habs now too…that’s just weird.
Go Habs Go!
aww poor lil guy, i’ll pour one out for ya.
Man, Roy is weak. Or he’s really nervous.
YES, BENNY’S PLAYING!
Meh, let the man play.
Go Habs Go!
Well that was cool! Overpowering shot as Danny Gallivan would have said!
oops..there he is !
Good things happens when you SHOOT AT THE NET!
He looked solid in camp and played very well in his only exhibition. I think it was just nerves tonight, I haven’t seen enough of him to judge though
As a huge goaltenders fan, I wish him all the best in the future. Canada will need him to play exceptionally well against teams like US.
if maguire said leblanc was more suited as a winger, then louis will probably end up being a center.
Wait. You don’t understand why, after three days rest, Price is starting?
Really?
You’re sittin’ there puzzled by this decision?
We have four games in the next 6 days (26, 28, 30, 31 Dec). Price will play 3 of the 4. When would you rest him?
Crud!
FRACK!
Was Oliveir Roy the best Canada could do? Really?
Atleast I am not an expert in being a complete idiot, like yourself.
You would not agree with what I said. You would think that was a legit penalty.
You are a joke.
“Hockey For Dummies” Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease buy it you frickin clown!
You really are a dumb SOB huh! My God. I did not think anyone could be as stupid as you, but I guess I am wrong. Unless this is just a lame game you are playing. God help the world if you are being serious. I see garbage collection in your future if true.
Let me get this straight, a breakaway is a bad goal? HAHAHAHHAHAHA. F;ing idiot.
OK, I give up. Have our forwards scored tonight yet? Let’s shift the conversation to them. OK?
didn’t anybody bother to tell them the Isles have been playing better lately…like it or not, Carey was making those saves earlier this year…
Do they not care? It sure doesn’t seem like it.
- In Price We Trust
Subban should be playing. Not Picard.
You said it twice. I have been saying it since the third game of the season. Picard has no place on this team except eating steamies in the pressbox.

Nice to see the Canadian junior team looking good with all the new faces. The Habs should blow up the Isle BIG TIME !!! Go Habs Go
Hopefully so, Isles have been hot lately.
Other than having to listen to McGuire a pretty entertaining game
What’s with the commercial breaks during the junior games? Thought they played through and left the darn ads for the intermission. Don’t tell me it’s changed for the American TV coverage!? If they actually have any.
Campbell had to make a decision to postpone the game? I bet if it was the Bruins he would have agreed to.
Glad I decided to watch the USA/Finland game instead of the yankfest on LI!
Again. Campbell’s son’s team. Surprised that the legendary Lucic isn’t suspended?
I’m sure Campbell wouldn’t have suspended lucic in any case. Thug looking after a thug.
NHL needs to realize that the most talked about hoceky competition of 2010 was the goon-free Olympics.
Price has been looking very ordinary for the past several games but there are lot of ‘ordinary’ goalies who are playing better. He has no zip. He takes his time coming back to the crease after a bad pass from behind the net. He is either overworked or he is beyond caring.
Dan
There was no need to have Price in tonight’s game — he should have rested for Tuesday’s much more important game.
We lack energy, grit, or anyone who can crash and bang to change momentum. Instead, we have to rely solely on our speedsters to get in gear and get their game going. In other words, we are one dimensional. The checkers, God love ‘em, are capable defensive players but they are all of the same nature — good checkers without serious physicality or the ability to shake things up by using their bodies. Moen is the closest, but even then he’s only one player. Some teams have what is called an “energy line”, a concept that appears to be totally foreign to JM/PG.
We also lack depth on D — JG, Hammer, Gill, and Spaceman are performing as best as possible, but they need some help, they need someone reliable to help take minutes away.
I think Benny, AK46, Pyatt, and Lapierre should be considered to be “on the bubble” and available for a trade to get some energy up front and defensive help on the blueline.
I’m starting to like Timo’s idea of the shooter tutor. They can’t hit the broad side of a rink and how many times did people totally whiff on glorious passes near the crease?
Oh well……
Only thing that performed worse than the Habs tonight was HI/O’s servers.
Go Habs Go!
2 omments:
- I agree with playinh the game. It looks like all the Isles fans made it to the game, so what’s the problem?
- I’m begining to question JM as the bench coach. I think he has put together a greatr system and when thew guys play it, they have a chance every night. But I no longer think he’s the guy to run the team during a game. I really question some of his decisions about scratches, lineups, etc.
Out at family get together so didnt see the game. From all accounts not a good HABS performance. The JM ennui has set in. It wont change. You cannot stymie players en masse in a game like hockey and expect them over a long season to improve. All the residue of last season’s playoff, which the team entered this season highly charged with, is gone. And now we are repeating the drollness and lack of ‘fire in the belly’. The ’do your stuff energy’ from players needed in a game like Hockey has been trampled beneath the need to ADHERE to the system.
They are professionals and they do try to buy into JM’s style. But in a fast paced game like hockey, you kill all individualism, and you kill the ‘turning point’ initiative in your players. Look at player slike Georges and AK46 and Cammillieri… from the start of the season to now. Look at our ‘prospects’ Eller, Subban, Pouliot etc. Do you see an improvement trajectory.
Sit back and watch our HABS go through another season where no identity has been carved and no improvement promised on the horizon.
Dreadful!!!
Another disappearing act by the Habs tonight. Hopefully they plan on reappearing Tuesday night against the
Caps. Stay tuned.
Go Habs Go!
Just a few pre-game musings from punkster’s easychair:
***Subbang!!!***
Speaking of loafs land my buddy and his wife just left after watching the wjc(and to exchange christmas gifts). I snuck a package of waffles in his christmas gift bag before they left with a note saying “to throw at your tv tonight while watching the leafs play”.
There is a reason Denis Gauthier is riding a desk on RDS. He’s so friggin’ annoying!
“It must be love!”
man i hate m.vick with passion with what he has done, but as player he always amazes me
.::DON’T MESS WITH THE MOENATOR!::.
It really bother me that people make such a big deal about dog fighting, yet the convicted murderers don’t take any flak at all.
lol Well done!
How did Lucic not get suspended? A fine of 2500 is absolutely nothing for NHL players and has no deterrent effect whatsoever. If anything, I hope this gives Lucic a “record” that can then make it more likely that he’ll get punished for something in the future because he’s a repeat offender.
If Lucic was not Canadian, you better believe purists would be up in arms over his gutless sucker punch.
I had little regard for Lucic before this, and now have no respect at all for this “power forward” and NHL “professional.”

LOL. What a joke of a penalty call. The interference on Patches earlier was much more of a penalty.
JG beaten on that play, he needs some relief in the form of a top 4 D-man to take up some minutes
I think more fans turn out at Brossard to watch a practise.
- In Price We Trust
And how is that not a hook? Macdonald basically stabs pleks with his stick.
Cammy on the PK. Now that is frightening.
Haha that’s what I was thinking, but he did a great job
Yikes Weber!
Dominate for a few shifts, give up a goal. Yep. that sounds like the Habs.
And that should be it for the Picard-Weber duo.
If Pierre McGuire was doing this game, he’d note that Comeau was junior teammates with JG.
b/s call on AK46, the Islanders player was stumbling already.
Nice try AK.
Pffft! Can Carey stop ONE breakaway?
Carey’s back to being mortal….
Yay, Habs give up the first goal again.
Friggin’ frustrating. Too the Isles too.
Tabarnak.
Carey needs rest — Auld should be in this one.
At least weber was in position, where was picard?
Carey’s always been kind of weak on breakaways. He’s got size, amazing side-to-side movement and (now) a hot glove hand as his strengths. I’m more surprised when he stops breakaways.
Too many games now where they’ve given up the first goal. It almost seems like Price is a bit tentative, maybe with that first goal looming in his mind. This has been what, 6 or 7 games now where they’ve given up the first?!
Honestly? This Habs hockey is getting BORING!
And that, in Montréal, is the worst sin of all…
another softie from Price.
welcome back 2009 Price!
nice dive.
Schremp is a joke — he’d be an all-star in a roller hockey league or the ECHL.
Good question, where is Picard on almost every play? People say Subban pinches at the wrong time, Picard pinches on every single play. Martin needs to stop puposely dressing a crappy hockey player when he has a better option.
Again, no Subban, eh? I guess we’re good enough without him…
Can we sit Picard instead. His pairing is always getting burned so the logical move is to ….?

…welcome back guys!
Price lets in a bad one a game now
Interesting comments since Price has been making save after save, and only Weber, until the goal had a semi decent shot on goal. Just like the previous BS of Price’s weak glove, now we’re going to drone on about Breakaways.
I guess peace on earth and goodwill to man is over ey?

guy, when Carey lets in a soft goal everyone can see that he’s not playing well. What pisses me off is the “fans” whose sole goal is to whine about every little thing possible. Give it up already, we’re all watching the same game
Didn’t notice Picard out of position boys, I’m sure you’re right, but man it seems like that Islander player went around Weber on the outside easy. “Martin needs to stop puposely dressing a crappy hockey player when he has a better option.” Well, I agree with you there…
“I only have one go in me honey then it’s all over till 2012″…. One Timer.
Stop trying to stir the pot on the Holiday’s!
Stirring the pot? I just quoted what you wrote.
Start watching the games before talking out of your arse. He is still making 3 or 4 incredible saves a game that the vast majority of goalies would let in.
I find it funny that you call breakaway goals softies. SMH.
bet canada russia game earlier will be a lot more exciting than anything Habs and Isles will have to offer.
What’s that? You’re not commenting on the Habs/Isles game. Predicting a win are we?
“Rick DiPietro is injured for a change.” Hahaha!
I’m going to be down in Buffalo for the Canada/Russia WJC game, so I’m going to have to catch the game on Canadiens Express. Hope it’s a good one, but I suspect, as Boone does, that it’ll probably take them half of the game to get hockey back on their minds. Hopefully the Isles don’t burn them too bad before then.
Centre Hice: Top-10 worst Hab nicknames
Marc-Antoine Godin tweets that there are no expected changes to the lineup so that meas another night of no Pouliot and no Subban and no, that doesn’t mean you should get ready to jump off the Champlain either.\
At least Bugs is pretty much guaranteed to crank out some gold though.
- I shall always remember Captain Koivu. Habs and Hockey.
Many people are talking about how the Habs may get off to a slow start because of Christmas celebrations. Umm…do the Islanders not celebrate Christmas?
Touché!
Give our boys some credit, folks – I don’t think they’re that loaded with Christmas celebrations that they won’t skate well. Besides, Jeff Halpern & Mike Cammalleri celebrated Hanukah so we have at least TWO skaters who will be in shape at the first puck drop…
Oy Vey…I hope you’re right..
Flight/Hotel/Leafs@Habs tix were under my tree this year! Anyone know of a good place to buy waffles in montreal?
No, no, throwing waffles on the ice during a Montreal game is a no-no…you ARE a Habs fan, right? Why break their stride? (great gift, btw, that’s a super Santa)
Wasn’t DiPietro’s 20-year contract negotiated by the same guy who sent Chara to Ottawa for Yashin? Wasn’t that the same guy who mocked our Habs on CBC’s intermission a week or so back while Les Boys were outplaying the Broonz (as Bob Cole pronounces it) in every aspect of the game?
Where does our national network find these geniuses?
People bitching about Price, I’m more worried about the entire team.
No great chances being generated, and it’s the Islanders FFS.
Apparently Gomez has never heard of a one-timer.
That was a gift-wrapped goal waiting to be if I ever saw one
I would have started Auld — Price needs some games off and he’s already experiencing fatigue. He has a huge game coming up against the Caps, no pressing need to play him tonight.
Yeah no Price, Subban or Pouliot – I think I’d find something else to watch. Like paint dry.
That basically shows that this team relies on great goaltending.
The offense is brutal. Defense ain’t that flashy either.
Dumbest post of the day. Congrats!
Howie Rosen doing play-by-play:
“The Islanders are playing a really good road period.”
/\\ike
GO HABS GO!
That looked like a hook to me.
Dialing up a stinker we are.
Go Habs Go!
Instead, a penalty to us on the next shift. typical.
Come on everyone, we all knew the Habs would come out terrible this period. All things considered, I’ll take the 1-0 defecit. This isn’t the kind of game we can really judge the team on.
Habs have no true energy players — guys who can crash and bang in order to generate some momentum. Lapierre used to do that, but rarely does now. Pyatt, Darche, Halpern are all solid defensively but can’t create energy. Our checkers are pretty one-dimensional.
In addition to another defenseman, I’d like to see us get some real energy guys, even if it means we lose someone like Pyatt. Eager, Clarkson come to mind.
Jeez, Price taking a penalty, and before that, couldn’t score on that onetimer, what a waste of oxygen.
When did Carey get a penalty or a one-time opportunity? You sure you’re watching the right game? LOL
Go Habs Go!
Nice play by Weber. What an awesome collection of ECHL talent Timmins has assembled in the minors. Weber is cruddy and weak. There is no alternative in Hamilton to replace him. At least Subban would be able to catch up to the Jr. C Islander on the play.
Gauthier has to step up now.
As much as I like AK46, he’s going to be 26 soon and I am fed up like many fans here. He just doesn’t play up to his potential. If we had another player like Gio to play besides Cammy-Pleks, that line would be a lot more productive.
And man does this team lack a big bodied defenseman or what.
LOL – He’s being sarcastic.
Basically saying that people are bitching on Price when clearly the entire team is to blame.
Both AK and Benny remind me of Dagenias — they can score, but the work ethic really isn’t there.
So this is Price’s fault? Nice. I see. The old man behind the bench keeps PK in the box so some Dollarama version of Mark Streit can play and he quits on the play? But that’s all on Price. Gomez can’t hit the open side of a net but let’s blame Kostitsyn again. Whatever.
Double post.
yes price has not been good on breakaways but they are breakaways…could the negative price posters at least post the names of 5 goalies that would have had better stats since the beginning of the season with the habs….it is so easy to see that the main problem with the habs is that they have very limited scoring forwards…this team is made to play tight playoff games it is not made to dominate any team in the nhl…
TIMO is that you.
Maybe you should start watching the games.
I hope JM lost it in the dressing room to wake up the entire team.
This is pathetic – they’ve lost 5 in last 7, they NEED this game.
I like my glasses. They keep my head out of my ass. You should try it some time.
***Subbang!!!***
Just watched the first period and then logged on. I thought we outplayed the Islanders in that period and that the difference is that Price didn’t bail out his team and stop the lone good chance the Isles had. They slide it under him with alarming regularity when he drops to his knees – but he’s still much better than the last couple of years.
Boone is over-reacting negatively to AK46, who has played a far stronger game thus far than most of his teammates. Pouliot was invisible – but I don’t think he’s had a lot of ice time. Eller is all over the place, but still needs to learn to generate chances.
ak has shown he can score…one 17 goal season for pouliot does not indicate he can score..pouliot is a 14-17 goal a season scorer at best..sorry bugs…maxpac is probably the same type of player
How soon before Joel Bouchard takes over the colour commentary from Benoit Brunet?
Brunet’s comments defy the intelligence he ought to have as a decade long NHLer.
THANK YOU!
Who in their right mind calls a breakaway goal a softie? Have these people ever played hockey or watched more than one game in their lives.
It is a breakaway!!!
Would we like to see Price start making more of these saves? Ofcourse, but you cannot, I repeat, CANNOT call a breakaway goal a softie. So much goes into dealing with a breakaway such as having to adjust your speed backing into the net, needing to stay square to the shooter while cutting down all the angles, moving side to side etc etc. It is not easy! Jesus Christ.
I think the habs can match threm as a jr C team.
no talent on the habs, all 4th liners too.
Weber wasn’t at fault for that goal as he was covering his man. It was all on Picard for his weak coverage of his man and leisurely skating back into his own zone.

A bit biased are we?
Big Buff in ATL has to be a Norris contender, Mesjaros leads defenseman with +/-, but he also plays on a stacked team. Buff’s team is not nearly as talented, but he’s still putting up great numbers and has ATL just two points behind the Caps.
I’m trying to do my best negative nancy impression, seeing that one period was played and all is lost.
I like this new Cammi on the penalty kill idea. Maybe you wouldn’t do it against the really good teams though.
It was.. unfortunatly the rumour proved to be untrue.
Can someone clear this up:
Is it PATCH-EE-OR-ETTY? or PATCH-OR-ETTY?
It should be 3-1. Easily. These guys needs to start converting on all their glorious chances.
MVP contender as well. He has been that dominant. 13th in the league in scoring I think and 2nd in the league in GWG.
And everyone bashed Atlanta prior to the season when they stated Buff would be playing D this season.
And 36 of them are Isles fans.
Roloson is a wall!
dang. ADTH feed cut out….. anybody got another feed ?
Too bad AK was so in tight.

Do you know how to read. I am saying a breakaway goal is NOT a softie. That is all I am saying. Learn how to read. Once you do I suggest “Hockey For Dummies”. Save up your soda cans and invest in it.
That f*cking ref who was closest had no intention of calling that. It was the back ref that made the call. What a load of crap. And diving? What the F*CK are these refs on?
CMON LAPIERRE. UGHHH
can’t let the Habs get a PP, no sir!
Wow……
Would you just shut the F up. Seriously. Just get lost!
A dive on getting hit from behind? You must be kidding me. Worst call of all time.
Totally unbelievable, they both go to the box!!! Laps faked being hit from behind!!
BRO. You are a LIFESAVER. Thanks.
Even the Isles announcers said that was a bad call.
That call combined with high stick on Pleks on a scoring chance, I mean come on refs. Do not get all pissy the NHL made you ref the game tonight in the blizzard.
No problem bro
Careful, if you lose your temper it means the trolls are winning!
Timo & Clay4bc have gotten me to lose my temper on here with their constant negativity trolling. I officially lost it with this clown as well. Grrrrr. lol.
Dawg, I think it’s your eyesight and judgement that has gone downhill. That was a good goal not a soft one.
Funny when the offense has scored O, it’s still on Price.
Larisa…hint…starts with a “T”, ends with an “L” and that’s how he “-rolls”.
***Subbang!!!***
hahahaha…..thanks P-ster!
I’d like to see PK against the Caps. He may rise to the ocassion against a major opponent that is also very high energy and up-tempo.
After Habs thoroughly dominated the Canes who would argue JM’s genius?
Too riske… we need more Hal Gills on this team, not some flamboyant punks.
Timo buddy, that’s like three whines in the first 10 posts! Slow down dude, pace yourself!
I think you need to start watching the games. Just saying.
Well then you know nothing about the sport of hockey. I guess watching 3 seasons worth of hockey has done you no good. Go to Barnes & Nobles and invest in “Hockey For Dummies”. Maybe that can help you.
Lappy’s not that good an actor….head diving ,lol….F’n ref’s
Simply amazing. I know that I’d love to dive head-first into the boards. Who wouldn’t want to risk a concussion and/or spinal injury just to draw a penalty?
Go Habs Go!
Why do you never see these diving calls ever get called in our favour?
Wow – how many power-plays have we had in the past couple of weeks?
Ridiculous. So glad we picked him over Carter.
Go Habs Go!
Andrei….
Ever notice when the Haters (I’m showing respect by capitalizing the H) can’t hate Price directly, they’ll go through the back door and claim that the opposing goalie is the next coming of Dryden without mentioning Price at all? LOL
Your mother taught you SARCASM.
what’s with cammy fanning on his shots these days?
I agree. It has been happening a ton.
Is Capuno with the Soprano or Johnny Sack crew?
I’m getting sick and tired of this popgun offense.
Terrible hockey tabarnak!
A PP? It’s a festivus miracle!
AK with that epic fail. I mean wow, seriously?
Roloson must be 1/16 French Canadian or something.
Man this team just can’t score – so frustrating.
Let’s take 2 seconds to wind that up Hamerlik. Goddamn popgun offense.
I think too many Habs posters here today celebrae Festivus with all the airing of grievances.
Spacek. What a moron. Gets down low, with his stick on the ice, and when the pass comes, he’s not even ready for it. WTF?
Habs are playing well, they ought to get one soon
And they do it three days late.
Go Habs Go!
found a free stream online of MSG+ network. Anybody know who their announcers are? Color guy is an ex coach…I’m enjoying their stuff. They don’t seem like guys who know every junior team the players have played for either. Just sayin.
HOLY SHIT – PRICE WTF WAS THAT
ALMOST GOT A HEART ATTACK.
Again, Price is just not in this game. We should have started Auld.
That was an interesting little adventure.
Go Habs Go!
terrifying.
Looks close.
wow, wtf was that?
didn’t look like it crossed the line
- In Price We Trust
Holy s…!
WTF man,but it won’t count.
going to need the netcam to tell for sure.
Until a goddamn player not named Price can get the goddamned puck in the other net Price shouldn’t be the focus on any discussion.
The fact we can’t score on the ISLANDERS is pretty damn pathetic.
Price can do cartwheels in front of the net wearing a clown suit for all I’d care.
goal,we were lucky there..
That was def a goal.
Whatever call the ref made should be upheld – it doesn’t look like there’s enough evidence to change the call.
bump
thank god it’s no goal but WTF
*phew* That last angle they showed made it look close, but it has to be 100% conclusive, and I think that’s what saved the Habs there.
Go Habs Go!
I’m not hating on Price, I like Price, Price is the foundation for our team. I am concerned, however, that he’s played so many games and needs a rest. I’d say the same if our starting goalie was Halak, Theodore, Darth Vader, or Dwight Schrute. I think his fatigue is evidenced by his play.
I agree with you that the offensive players need to do their job, too.
This is not an either-or proposition though — just because the offensive players aren’t doing their job doesn’t mean one can’t comment on Price’s need for relief.
It’s Howie Rosen and former Islander/King Butch Goring. Goring replaced Billy Jaffe this year. Jaffe, who is excellent was not allowed to return to the broadcast team because the Islanders thought he wasn’t blindly positive. MSG wanted him to continue the broadcasts, but the Islanders were able to veto.

GO HABS GO!
cool Thanks!!
Ok with this post, it is official, you were dropped on your head as a baby. Wow, just wow!
Because AK is twice the player.
As much as frustrating it is to watch AK46, I would not want Ryder on this roster LOL
I think that would have been confirmed 11 years ago, when he was an actual baby.
Go Habs Go!
+1
No being a mother taught me that.
Ahahahahahaha very good. very good.
Woohoo!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Oh man, wouldn’t that just deflate ya!
Tie game. Real entertainment here.
Wow that was weak
- In Price We Trust
Damnit even up!
“Contre New Jersey ils ont eu 8 tirs en premiere, 3 en deuxieme, et 3 en troisieme, pour un total de 11 tirs.”
- Benoit Brunet
Great game!
Wow what a horrible penalty call. Jesus. I guess players should just drop their stick when they are touched.
WOOOOOHOOOO!
as good as carey has been with the puck on most nights you know once in a while its going to bite us in the ass. And holy shit was that a weak call on cammy or what?
That’s total BS. He was barely holding onto his stick.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
ANOTHER PENALTY??
WTF – What are we? The Flyers? Too bad – because we aren’t even physical.
BULLET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3-2
Our forwards have collectively sucked bigtime tonight.
Habs got lucky, it did cross the line.
Refs had too much fun last night XD.
Gomez just got flattened coming out of the zone, puck no where near him. Of course no call.
