Michel Therrien cut to the chase about how the Canadiens played Thursday in their 2-0 shutout loss to the New York Islanders, a team that had 11 rookies in their lineup.
“It was a bad performance from our team. Pretty simple. Every aspect of our game was not sharp,” the Habs coach said.
They weren’t sharp at five on five or with special teams, Therrien added.
“The only positive thing that I can take (from the game) is that Carey Price was really solid. He gave us a chance to stick in the game,” Therrien said of the Canadiens goaltender who made 28 saves.
