Ageless Jarome Iginla scored twice for the Bs, as did some guy named Nick Johnson.
David Krejci and Zach Trotman notched single goals.
Travis Moen, P.K. Subban and Max Pacioretty scored for the Canadiens, who were outshot 40-20.
Malcolm Subban came on midway through the second period and stopped all 12 shotrs he faced … including one by his older brother.
The Canadiens have dropped their first two exhibition games.
They are idle until Friday, when they travel to Quebec City to face the Carolina Hurricanes in a back-to-back that concludes Saturday at the Bell Centre.
